Republic Day of India 2016 Speech for Students in College & Schools

We have gathered here today on the occasion of India’s Republic Day. A short while ago, we have heard the speech from our honorable Chief Guest after hoisting the national flag of India. We also got an opportunity to meet and hear the chief guest’s speech on the Republic Day topic. We also heard the speech from our School / College Management and Teachers.

In India, Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.

When India became independent from the British rule, there was a lot of rework to be done to save our country from becoming a hell. It was a time when people were fighting with each other for each and everything.

We have Bhagath singh, Lajpath Rai who fought for us against the british remember our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi. It does not mean we have only to Republic Day to remember their sacrifices to the nation, but every day we have to remember and salute them.

But then how does our country grow from here. Yes, its us, you my friends are going to play a crucial role in the progress of the our country. You are the backbone of our country’s future.
